Madeline Crawford ~ Youth Support Manager
Madeline obtained her Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in May of 2016, and began her journey helping youth and families at O-I-See Youth Strategies from that time until December 2017. From then until July 2019, she worked to obtain a Master of Social Work, with a certificate in Substance Abuse Counseling, from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She has extensive experience working with all sorts of ages and populations. She worked as a mentor in a school based setting helping adolescents attain educational goals, she taught summer school in Milwaukee, provided direct supervision in a residential setting, and has facilitated group and individual sessions for college students at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. As of July of 2019, she re-joined the O-I-See Youth Strategies' team to continue her passion of helping youth and families.
Madeline interned in a long-term care setting with older adults, and she also helped end chronic homelessness using the Housing First Initiative at Milwaukee County. Although she greatly learned a great deal from this experience, this area of need confirmed her passion in helping younger populations. She never undermines the power of compromise, resilience, strength, and of course- laughter! She enjoys discovering the unique strengths and skills that is within each youth, and she believes this helps develop both his or her individuality while helping them overcome any road blocks.
In her free time, Madeline enjoys traveling, running, hiking, rollerblading, and many other activities. Pretty much anything that has to do with the outdoors and specialty cheese!
